Our hospice comprises 6 single rooms and 2 apartments, all of which have a single balcony overlooking the gardens and grounds. Each room has an en suite, TV, telephone and fridge.
We have a family day room, prayer room and a day care service(on Thursdays) to support our patients and families during their time in the hospice.
Our multi-disciplinary team works together to best meet our patients wishes and needs. We encourage and support our patients wishes, based on their needs and develop a treatment plan to best support this. Our team is made up of doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, chaplain, pharmacist, catering staff, housekeeping and administrative staff.
Patients come into our hospice at different stages of their illness. Some patients are admitted for assessment and treatment of their symptoms. We also provide care for patients who are approaching end of life and provide support to them and their families at htis difficult time.
During this difficult time we aim to provide a homely environment for our patients families as much as possible. Some of the following information may be beneficial before coming into the hospice.
Visiting hours are unrestricted, however, our patients are our priority and there may be times when our patients are too unwell to cope with lots of visitors and visit may be restricted to suit their best interests.
Pets are very important to some patients and it is possible to arrange a visit. Please feel free to discuss this with the nursing staff.
Our chaplaincy team provides spiritual support to all out patients and families.
